Arni Lemonato (Roast Lemon Lamb) Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc lamb leg
Lemon juice from 2 small lemons
Fresh black-pepper (ground)
2 Tbsps of butter
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp of dry oregano
1 c of boiled water
Salt
Instructions:
Wipe the meat w/ damp towel. Cut slits all over the lamb’s surface. Cut the garlic into individual silvers then insert them into the slits.
You vigorously the meat w/ juice then season w/ pepper & salt. Sprinkle it w/ herbs then place it in roast pan.
Have it cooked over mid-heat oven about an hour. You drain the excess oil off then add the boiled water into pan. You spread the butter all over lamb then return it into the oven. Have it cooked for about 1 & 1/2 hrs ’til lamb cooks. Turn while cooking to evenly brown. Set in draft-free warm area for 15-20 mins before you carve.
Skim the extra fat off from drippings in pan then reduce as necessary. Serve w/ lamb.
