New England Lamb Bake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp of oil
1 chopped onion
2 pounds of boneless lean-lamb
1/4 c of flour (all-purpose)
2 sliced carrots
5 c of chicken stock
2 small leaks; sliced into 2-inch pcs
Bayleaf
1/2 tsp of rosemary
2 Tbsps of parsley; minced & divided
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of dry thyme
1/4 tsp of pepper
1/4 c of butter
Instructions:
In Dutch-oven, heat the oil. Cook onions & lamb ’til browned. Add flour then mix very well. Pour broth gradually. Stir while boiling.
Add leaks, 1 Tbsp parsley, carrots, rosemary, bayleaf, pepper, salt & thyme. spoon mixture into oiled 3-quarts dish. Dot w/ butter then cover.
Have it baked at three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit for about 1-2 hrs ’til meat becomes tender & golden-browned. Garnish w/ reserved parsley.
