Lamb Kofta With Yogurt Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of lamb (ground)
2 pcs of eggs; beaten lightly
1-1/4 c of breadcrumbs (stale)
2 Tbsps of parsley (fresh); chopped
2 pcs of onions (medium); grated
1/2 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
1 tsp of cumin (ground)
2 tsps of turmeric
1/2 tsp of chili powder
1 tsp of allspice (ground)
For the Yogurt Sauce:
1 pc of garlic clove; crushed
1/2 c of yogurt (plain)
2 tsps of juice (lemon)
1 Tbsps of Tahini paste
2 Tbsps of water
Instructions:
Combine ground lamb, eggs, breadcrumbs, parsley, onions, cinnamon, cumin, chili powder, turmeric, and allspice inside the processor; process till it becomes a smooth. Shape a quarter cup of the mixture around a skewer like an elongated sausage, about 3-4 inches. Grill then serve hot with the sauce. To make the sauce, mix garlic, yogurt, lemon juice, Tahini paste, and water; stir thoroughly.
